Grow Yourn Own Mushrooms Log Kit - Shitake

Product Description

Gardeners and chefs will love growing their own exotic mushrooms – it's so easy and much cheaper than the supermarket. This kit comes with everything you need to grow your own mushrooms. All you need is a log and a drill!

These kits give you enough spawn plugs to inoculate your own 2ft to 3ft long x 4 - 6in diameter freshly cut log. The kits come in a Fairtrade natural Jute bag and contains a packet of 30 plugs, set of easy to follow instructions and the correct size drill bit.

You'll be able to harvest your first batch of mushrooms in around 9 months, depending on the time of year planted and weather conditions. Will yield around 2-3 harvests per year. The spawn has a recommended use by date on the bag, normally around 3 months.

Shitake- A favourite with chefs all over the world due to the rich, smoky taste and meaty texture. Shitake mushrooms are expensive in food stores so why not grow your own!

A great gift for anyone who loves gardening, or cooking, or mushrooms!
