Our Natural Slug and Snail Deterrent is made from 100% RECYCLED granite shards. We take old granite kitchen work surfaces, granite tiles etc. and crush them up into very sharp shards...No Chemicals, just Granite...Simple
How it works:
Granite, when formed in the earth, is kept at a cool temperature which means that its structure is very rough and abrasive. When put in a slugs or snails path, these abrasive sides scrape and scratch through the two layers of mucus on the mollusk's body which disturbs their movement. They find this so disrupting that they will not pass over the material at all!
By applying a layer of this to a pot or placing a ring around a plant or border, you can save your plants naturally and effectively.
Our Natural Slug and Snail Deterrent maintains the bio diversity in your garden (it does not kill any organisms like Slug Pellets).
It has also been developed for use in organic gardens and is fully rain resistant.
